TIME TO JOIN YOUNG EXECUTIVES

Why wait? Now is the right time to join GAWDA's Young Executives. If you are 45 or younger, you need to be a part of this exciting new initiative that will help shape the future of GAWDA and our industry.

The Planning Committee has been hard at work putting together the workshop and social activities for San Francisco. On Sunday, September 16, from 12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., the Young Executives and their spouses will participate in a San Francisco Scavenger Hunt that will provide the opportunity to see the sights of San Francisco while making new friends. Each team will have eight members and will be given a list of items to find and pictures to take, a map, a camera and taxi/trolley fare. At the end of the hunt, the teams will gather for food and drinks and to determine the prize winners.

On Tuesday, September 18, there will be a special workshop for Young Executives. The purpose of the workshop will be to provide an Orientation about GAWDA. Past and current Board members will discuss and answer questions about the history of GAWDA, the previous Young Executives program, how to get involved in committees and leadership positions and how to get the greatest personal benefits from your membership and from attending meetings. It is your organization-how much do you really know about it?

Please remember to indicate that you are interested in participating in the Young Executives program when you complete your registration for the Annual Convention in San Francisco. We will be distributing golf shirts with the Young Executives logo to all members and their spouses at the meeting, and we need accurate counts. Look for the special Young Executives table next to registration.
