Thermacut
Growing
With New Products
and Distributors
Thermacut
has experienced continued growth in 2007 due to
expansion of their aftermarket plasma cutting
products and new distributors. Within the EX-TRAFIRE®
product line, Thermacut launched the TungstenEX-
Nozzle as a direct replacement consumable for
HPR®
plasma cutting systems in 130 amp, 200 amp and
260 amp operations. The nozzle features a patented
improvement that incorporates a tungsten alloy
insert within the nozzle orifice for improved
handling of extreme heat. Tungsten is an extremely
hard and durable metal and also has the highest
melting point of all the non-alloyed metals.
Thermacut
engineers matched their new TungstenEX-®
Nozzle with the SilverEX-®
Electrode and created a unique "consumables
team approach." This new combination improves
cutting performance and extends consumable product
life up
to four times longer compared to standard copper
nozzles and electrodes.
Rick
Mann, a metallurgist and the international director
of Thermacut¹s research and development team
states, "Heavy users of HPR® high definition
plasma cutting technologies will be the primary
beneficiaries. These two products combined can
create substantial savings in time and money for
any mechanized system user."
The
TungstenEX- product line will expand to incorporate
other OEM systems in the near future. All Thermacut
replacement components are precision manufactured
to meet
or exceed OEM performance characteristics and
are available for immediate shipping.

These
product improvements have caught the attention
of numerous distributors across North America.
So far in 2007, Thermacut has established EX-TRAFIRE
stocking distributors in Maine, Texas, Oklahoma,
South Dakota, Virginia, Kentucky and Alberta,
Canada.
Doug
MacConnell, Thermacut's national sales manager,
said much of their rapid expansion with distributors
is due to the popularity of Thermacut's EX-TRAFIRE
Distributor Program. "We've made a solid
commitment to distributors to support their sales
and marketing efforts for plasma cutting and welding
consumables." For example, the EX-TRAFIRE
Distributor Program features preferred order shipping,
special program incentives, free training seminars,
lead referrals and free product samples. The EX-TRAFIRE
Distributor Program also provides excellent technical
support.
Distributors
with customers using high-volume, mechanized systems
require support in the field and on the shop floor.
Thermacut provides the technical support necessary
for end-users to optimize their cutting operation
and create more efficient production.
With
over 8,000 available parts and 140 different models
of plasma torch heads, Thermacut delivers a wide
variety of replacement consumables, accessories
and torches for the plasma cutting and MIG welding
industries. Thermacut engineers, metallurgists
and 300 employees are committed to providing innovative
new products and replacement consumables that
meet and exceed OEM specifications. By enhancing
other manufacturers' original products through
improved design and materials, Thermacut provides
metal fabricators with consumable products that
improve performance, quality and value.
Thermacut
owns and operates their own manufacturing and
assembly plants. By controlling the quality and
cost, they are able to pass savings along through
the distribution chain to the end-user.
Thermacut,
Inc. is based in Claremont, New Hampshire. For
